We welcome back vet Hannah who returns to the team having been on maternity leave; as an internal medicine certificate-holder it is great to have her knowledge and experience back with us. Vet Gabriella is also very close to completing her feline medicine certificate so we will soon be blessed with two certificate-holders!

It's that time of the year again – the changing seasons present us with different medical challenges. Dog owners, please keep the chocolates, the mince pies and the Christmas cake well out of reach! Cat owners, beware cats playing with tinsel and ribbon - these can cause serious problems if swallowed. Rabbit owners, make sure the wires from the fairy lights are protected from potential chewing.

Spring 2025 newsletter

With the days getting longer and brighter again Christmas seems like a distant memory – but a big thank you is in order nevertheless for all the cards, chocolates, mince pies and biscuits that we received which kept us going through the cold weather! In Pembury news we are now able to run many of our in-house blood tests at the branch itself rather than having to transfer samples to the main clinic in Southborough. The new clinical unit behind the Pembury branch is also progressing well and we are aiming to have it ready for use by May. The main building at Pembury needs a lot of work too – we are planning to move temporarily from the mainbuilding to the new unit while this happens, to minimise the impact of the building work on our appointments. Once complete, Pembury will have a second consulting room, two operating theatres and diagnostic facilities including x-ray and ultrasound. This development at Pembury will not only improve our provision in the village but hopefully also alleviate the pressure on the main clinic in Southborough and result in a calmer experience for our patients and their owners alike.
